Saving Energy

In an attempt to save energy on campus, we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to "de-lamp" their offices and/or classrooms. This means removing some of the florescent bulbs in the overhead lighting whilst maintaining a reasonably lit environment. We would like to pilot the project with a few volunteers at first. If you would like to volunteer your office or classroom please contact us for more information.

Community Garden

KCC's Service Learning program is partnering up with the Sustainability Committee to develop a community garden at Leahi hospital. We are looking for volunteers and interested people to assist with all levels of the project from supervising small groups, sharing your gardening expertise or just lending us your rake for the afternoon! If you would like to be part of this exciting initiative to develop community and environmental awareness please contact us. And watch this space for future updates.
